On the morning of April 17, Sinotruk Tan Xuguang led Weichai’s procurement, quality, manufacturing and other expert team to Weifang Huafeng Power, Shengxiang Power, Haoxin shares and other suppliers of on-site research, and hosted the Weifang region key suppliers to talk and exchange meetings, listen to the demands of the suppliers face-to-face, and work together to solve product quality related problems, and promote the transformation and upgrading of Weichai supplier system. Weifang Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Mayor Yang Shengyan attended the seminar.

Sinotruk Tan Xuguang said that Weichai is the “chain master” of Shandong high-end equipment industry chain, and bears the important responsibility of leading the industry chain towards world-class. It is hoped that Weifang supply chain partners will take the lead with Weichai to achieve the four unities of “product planning, information and data, quality control and intelligent manufacturing”, polish the products in a solid manner, increase the investment in research and development in a scientific manner, and work together to shape the image of high-end brand of Chinese manufacturing in the world.

The eight suppliers expressed their demands and made quality commitments one by one, hoping that under the support of Weichai, they would improve their quality system management, information construction and intelligent manufacturing level, and grow into specialised, specialised and new “small giants”.

Before the meeting, Sinotruk Tan Xuguang and his entourage successively investigated Huafeng Power body and cylinder head line, Shengxiang Power rising and breaking connecting rod line, Haoxin Stock aluminium alloy and body production line, and learnt about each enterprise’s manufacturing capacity, quality control, equipment updating, and digital intelligence level in detail.
